Prince Fielder in 2007

Sophomore slump? No way. Prince Fielder followed up a solid rookie season in 2006 with a MVP-caliber stat line in 2007. Prince set a franchise record for homeruns (50), while leading the National League, and became the youngest player to knock 50+ homers in a season. Prince also ranked in the top 10 in the NL for RBI (3rd), R (7th), BB (9th), SLG (2nd), AB/HR (2nd), OPS (2nd), TB (4th), IBB (5th), HBP (5th).

Fielder also brought home several awards in 2007:

  • Brewers Team MVP Award
  • Silver Slugger
  • Players Choice NL Outstanding Player Award
  • NL Hank Aaron Award

Prince was also a valuable commodity in the fantasy baseball world. He was 3rd in fantasy baseball rankings for all first basemen with 555 fantasy points just behind David Ortiz and Albert Pujols.
